Land Rover Serie I 86in

The Land Rover was created after the WW2 inspired by the Jeep. Rover wanted to develop an easy-to-build vehicle for craftsmen and agriculture. The first prototype was still based on a Jeep chassis. The Land Rover was presented at the Amsterdam Motor Show in 1948. It became a bestseller and is a milestone in the development of the automobile. Land Rovers were used as workhorses according to their purpose. Series 1 vehicles have therefore rarely survived in good condition and restored examples have little in common with the original. Not so the Landie on offer. It was only used as a towing vehicle in a boatyard and thus not used in road traffic. It remained in the family until 2018. The second owner carried out a careful restoration. Worn parts were replaced without compromising the originality. The body and chassis never had to be repaired. As the vehicle was painted over with signal colours, it had to be repainted. This is a collector's vehicle whose quality will be appreciated by the Landie connoisseur.
