Mercedes-Benz 230 cabrio B

The Mercdes-Benz Type W153 was built from 1939-1943. It was the first vehicle with an all-steel body from Mercedes. Four body variants were offered and a total of 4210 units were built. Only a few of the Cabriolet B have therefore survived. The car with chassis no. 446350 was delivered to the German Wehrmacht and survived the turmoil of war. An American officer brought it to the USA as ‘war booty’, where the car changed hands twice more before returning to Germany. There it was mechanically restored and sold to Switzerland in 2003. It was then repainted and the interior was renewed. The Mercedes convertible is in excellent condition and shows hardly any signs of wear. It will be given a new MFK inspection upon sale.
